Current Semester

I am on leave from USF to serve as a Program Director in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation. If you have questions about USF Computer Science advising or the USF CS undergraduate or graduate programs please refer to the USF CS Department web page for an appropriate contact.

I am a professor of computer science at the University of San Francisco. I primarily teach software development and distributed computing and my current research focuses on energy management in green homes. I am passionate about broadening participation in computing. I received my PhD from UC Santa Barbara where I worked with Kevin Almeroth in the Networking and Multimedia Systems Lab. I also spent summers at IBM Research under the guidance of Neel Sundaresan, and HP Labs under the guidance of Dejan Milojicic.
